Since moving to New York, Brent Ness has worked in different administrative capacities in classical music, from the very big (Metropolitan Opera) to the very small (Talea Ensemble). The constant through line - through the years - has been the Music at Our Saviour’s Atonement series, where he has worked behind the scenes to ensure a smooth experience for the musicians on the stage and the audience in the seats.
Brent grew up on his family farm in Minnesota, where he milked cows in between choir and orchestra rehearsals. He graduated from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford, where he met his wife, Katherine. They have two children and live in Inwood. He currently works as the Director of Operations at St. Paul & St. Andrew United Methodist Church on the Upper West Side.
